RR vs CSK IPL 2022: In the last match of IPL 2022 for Chennai Super Kings, Moeen Ali showed up with the bat as he rushed to a fifty inside the powerplay while batting at #3. Due to the storm by the Englishman, CSK scored 75 runs in the first 6 overs. Amidst this, Moeen Ali took on Trent Boult as he smacked 6 boundaries in an over, collecting 26 runs. 

Trent Boult came on to bowl his 3rd over on the trot inside the powerplay while Chennai was at 49/1 in 5 overs. Boult had already picked up a wicket in his 2 overs while giving away just 14 runs.

On the first delivery, the CSK left-hander dispatched an in-angler on the pads as he picked it up sweetly and sent it over deep backward square leg for a six. The second delivery was yet again overpitched by the New Zealand pacer and was whipped by Moeen over the infield at mid-wicket with impeccable timing for a four.

Boult bowled a slower delivery on the third delivery. The ball didn't grip and Moeen checked his flick shot with superb timing well enough through mid-wicket. The ball went all the way to the fence for a four. The fourth delivery was finally pitched short, but Moeen sliced it easily over third man for a four, completing his fifty off just 19 deliveries.

The fifth delivery was pitched short & wide by Boult but Moeen stood tall as he slap-cut it through backward point. Last delivery was bowled full, and Moeen completed the 6th consecutive boundary as he drove it wide of mid-off for a four, completing 26 runs off the 6th over.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss & opted to bat first against Rajasthan Royals in the 68th match of IPL 2022. RR have a chance to secure a top 2 spot while CSK, who are already eliminated, would be looking to end the tournament on a winning note. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
