ENG vs NZ 1st test: 23-year old Matty Potts is having a dream debut at Lord's, as he shattered the New Zealand batting lineup in the first innings with experienced James Anderson. The young pacer picked up his first international wicket in the form of NZ skipper Kane Williamson in the first innings. And in the second innings, Potts yet again dismissed one of the best test batters in the world.

After conceding a first-innings lead of 9 runs owing to a disastrous batting and wonderful bowling in the first innings, New Zealand came out to bat in their 2nd innings in the first session on Day 2. Opener Will Young was yet again dismissed early on by James Anderson for 1 run, quite similar to the first innings.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson came out to bat in the 3rd over of the innings and scored 15 runs off 34 balls quite carefully, dealing with the lethal English pace attack. Williamson scored two fours in his innings.

Matty Potts was bowling the 12th over of the innings while NZ skipper Kane Williamson was on strike. On the second delivery, Potts bowled a short length delivery, angling in with plenty of inward movement just outside off. Williamson had both his feet in the air in an effort to steer it whilst countering extra bounce.

However, the batter only managed to slice it straigh to Jonny Bairstow at third slip and the Yorkshire cricketer completed his third catch of the match. Matty Potts got Kane Williamson for the second time and went on to dismissed Tom Latham in the 14th over. The debutant has picked up 6 wickets in the match till now.
