WATCH: Ishan Welcomes Nortje With Twin Sixes; Bowlers Gets His Revenge In Next Over

Ishan Kishan was dismissed for 34 runs by Anrich Nortje in the second T20I at Cuttack.

IND vs SA 2nd T20I: Ishan Kishan, who had a patchy run in the IPL 2022, impressed one & all with his explosive batting in the first T20I between India & South Africa. In the 2nd T20I, the young opener continued his rhythm as he smacked Anrich Nortje for two sixes in his first over. However, the South African bowler got his revenge in his next over, dismissing the Indian left-hander. 

Nortje came on to bowl the 4th over after India were off to a not-so-decent start, the scoreboard reading 12/1. Kishan smacked a six on the second delivery of the over, which was a full-length delivery, whipped for a huge six by the opener. 

The South African bowler bowled a length delivery on the 4th ball, and Ishan Kishanheaved it across the line for another six over deep square. 

However, the bowler was brought on to bowl his second over in the 7th over of the innings. Nortje bowled a sharp short delivery and Kishan couldn't bail out, and played the pull shot straight to the fielder at deep square. Rassie van der Dussen safely completed the catch as the opener was dismissed after scoring 34 runs in 21 deliveries with 2 fours & 3 sixes.

Earlier, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss & opted to bowl first against India in the second T20I. South Africa are 1-0 up in the 5-match T20I series. This match is being played at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
