Team India managed to set a target of 170 runs against South Africa in the 4th T20I of the 5-match series. When South Africa came out to chase the target, South Africa were off to a not-so-decent start. The tourist team lost two big wickets in the powerplay for just 26 runs, and amidst this Quinton de Kock had to walk back to the pavilion, disappointed.

In the 4th T20I, de Kock faced 13 deliveries against the Indian bowlers and scored mere 14 runs. Before de Kock was dismissed, captain Temba Bavuma had to walk back after being retired hurt, and now all eyes were on the explosive opener who made his comeback in this match after missing the last two T20Is due to injury. However, the batter was seen in a state of confusion along with his batting partner Dwaine Pretorius and hence lost the precious wicket.

This happened in the 5th over of the South African innings. Harshal was bowling tight lengths and was troubling the batters. In his first 4 balls, Harshal gave away just 2 runs, one of which was a leg bye. With this, the pressure seemed to be increasing and Quinton de Kock tried to play the fifth delivery with soft hands, trying to steal a single. However, after both the batters - Quinton de Kock and Dwaine Pretorius seemed confused about going for the single or not. De Kock strayed away from the crease and Harshal Patel capitalized on it, picking up the ball swiftly and dislodging the stumps with ease.

While talking about the match, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss & opted to bowl first against India in the 4th T20I. With Dinesh Karthik's 55 and Hardik Pandya's 46, India posted 169/6 in 20 overs. In reply, the Proteas were bowled for a meagre total of 87 runs in 16.5 overs, losing the match by 82 runs. The series is now levelled 2-2 with the decision to be played on Sunday (19th June).
