ENG vs IND - One-day cricket has been slowly diminishing in the cricket world as the boards and countries have turned to T20 and Test for major parts of the year. However, with the World Cup in 2023, teams have turned their focus on it. Team India's bowling is ready, or so Jasprit Bumrah showed in the first ODI against England as he dismissed two top-order English batters for a duck in his first over.
England were at 6/0 after the first over, bowled by Mohammad Shami. Jason Roy was on the strike for the second over as ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was brought into the attack. After three dot balls, Bumrah drew first blood on the fourth delivery.
Bumrah bowled the fourth delivery full and wide outside off as it seamed in slightly. Roy went down on his knees to reach out for it, attempted a cover drive and managed an inside edge which shattered the stumps. Roy went back to the pavilion for a 5-ball duck as Bumrah grabbed the opening wicket.
