LSG vs GT IPL 2022: Avesh Khan displayed fine shots against Rashid Khan before Lucknow Super Giants lost by 62 runs against Gujarat Titans.

LSG vs GT IPL 2022: Chasing a moderate total, Lucknow Super Giants suffered a batting collapse and for the second time in this season, a team was restricted below a total of 100 runs. However, the #11 batter for LSG, Avesh Khan, opened his arms as he smacked Rashid Khan for two sixes. 

Rashid was on a hattrick on the 2nd delivery of the 14th over, having dismissed Jason Holder on the last delivery of his last over and Deepak Hooda on the first bowl of the over. Avesh Khan, who was the top wicket-taker for LSG in the first innings, smacked a six over long-on on the hattrick delivery, which was also the first bowl he faced.

On the next delivery, Avesh Khan displayed a special shot. The bowler managed to touch the ball twice as he rocked back against a short delivery and deposited it way over backward square leg. 

However, Avesh Khan was dismissed on the 5th delivery of the over by Rashid Khan after scoring 12 runs in 4 deliveries with 2 sixes. With this, LSG were restricted to a feeble total of 82 runs, losing the match by 62 runs.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss & opted to bat first against Lucknow Super Giants in the 57th match of IPL 2022. After a 49-ball-63 by Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans managed to post a total of 144/4 in 20 overs. For LSG, Avesh Khan picked up 2 wickets while Mohsin Khan & Jason Holder managed 1 wicket each. This match was played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
