The IPL 2021 Eliminator match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Sharjah saw some poor umpiring. During the match, on-field umpire Virender Sharma gave wrong decision three times,  and after review, he had to change his decisions.

During the first innings when RCB was batting, the umpire declared Shahbaz Ahmed LBW out in the 16th over and Harshal Patel out in the 20th over. Both the times ball went off the edge of the bat and then hit the pad. Both times the batters saved their wicket with the help of DRS. Due to these wrong decisions of the umpire, Bangalore lost 2 runs.

After this, during KKR's innings, in the last ball of the seventh over, Yuzvendra Chahal made an LBW appeal against Rahul Tripathi. This was denied by the umpire, but Tripathi was found out after the decision was reviewed by captain Virat Kohli.

After this decision, RCB captain Kohli appeared very angry. After the over, Kohli went to the umpires and expressed his displeasure over the decision. However, in the end, he laughed and ended it himself.
