In the ongoing match between Victoria & New South Wales in the Marsh Sheffield Shield Tournament, Victoria's bowler James Pattinson committed an act influenced by utter frustration.
New South Wales opener, Daniel Hughes was batting on 64* off 244 balls. On the 3rd delivery of the 86th over, bowled by James Pattinson, Hughes defended a full-length straight delivery back to the bowler. Pattinson picked up the ball and threw it straight at the batter with all his might.
As can be seen in the video, Hughes wasn't even trying to take a run after defending the ball. In spite of this, James Pattinson picked up and threw the ball straight at the batter instead of the stumps. This could be because Daniel Hughes opened the innings for Victoria and was still standing at the crease calm as ever, facing his 245th ball of the innings.
Ouch!
