Umesh, Shami put India on top vs Windies at stumps on Day 3 ()
Antigua, July 24 (CRICKETNMORE) Pacers Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami claimed an impressive four-wicket haul each to put India in driver's seat at stumps on the third day of the opening Test cricket match at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium here on Saturday.
West Indies after their overnight score of 31 for one on Friday, were bundled out for 243 in the first innings on Saturday, thanks to Umesh (4-41), Shami (6-44) and Amit Mishra (2-43). India posted a mammoth first innings total of 566 for eight declared.
Darren Bravo (10 not out) and Rajendra Chandika (9 not out) remained unbeaten as the hosts reached 21/1 in their second innings at stumps on Day 3 and trail by 302 runs.
