"Everyone in this world is a fan of one or the other person whom they admire. This is a story of a boy who is a serious, crazy, and a true fan of none other than country’s favorite cricketer “VIRAT KOHLI.”

India’s population is around 1.34 billion, out of which there are more than 50 million cricket fans and I am just one of them.

This story will tell you about how I became a fan of Virat Kohli, and my journey as a fan till now. As Virat Kohli has around 35million fans, and I am one of them, “If he has 10 fans, I am one of them and if Virat Kohli has one fan, then that’s me.”

In India, cricket isn't just a game. It is a bona fide religion. A religion where cricketers are Gods and every victory is a festival. As now in India we eat cricket, sleep cricket, and live cricket. ‘Men in Blue’ are absolutely adored by the crazy cricket fans and their fame outshines the popularity of any other celebrity. From a school going kid to retired an old man — the charisma of cricket has enchanted almost every Indian. People plan their activities, leaves and travel plans after checking the schedule of Indian Cricket team. Cricket is also the fastest way of befriending an Indian. No matter which part of India it is, one can find a bunch of kids playing cricket with lot of enthusiasm. The religion of cricket has no holy book but there are several Gods. From legendary players like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev to Mahendra Singh Dhoni— they all have been extremely popular in India.

Being a true fan, I have always believed in cricket as my religion and stadium our temple.

Following cricket as one of my favorite sports, my favorite cricketer is Virat Kohli, and the main objective of sharing my story being a fan is that Virat Kohli — my star should read this, and he will come to know that he has such a huge fan. Through this book, my dream of meeting Virat Kohli might also get fulfilled.

Virat Kohli’s passion, energy, spirit, commitment, ethics, and standards that he sets are what the fans like and salute. As he plays for team INDIA I am a true Indian who is a fan of Virat Kohli because the intensity and very positive energy that he creates while playing is just incredible.
