CSK vs SRH IPL 2022: The winner of the orange cap in IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings' Ruturaj Gaikwad has failed to get going in the IPL 2022 after having a tremendous domestic season. In his fourth match of the season, Gaikwad managed to smack his first four of this edition of IPL but was cleaned up by SRH's Natarajan. 

On the first ball of the 6th over, Ruturaj Gaikwad was on strike with 16 runs off 12 balls with 3 boundaries. Natarajan pitched the delivery upon the middle stump line to check the swing. The dreamy inswinging delivery was missed by Gaikwad due to the movement and was cleaned up.

The middle stump was uprooted as the CSK opener failed to convert another start into a big score this season. His opening partner this season, Robin Uthappa was dismissed in the 4th over and hence the opening worries have continued for the defending champions after they released Faf du Plessis ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.

CSK roped in explosive New Zealand opener Devon Conway in the IPL 2022 auction at his base price of 1 crores INR but wasn't given a match apart from the opening fixture where the opener was dismissed for a knock of 3 runs in 8 balls. 

Natarajan on the other hand, even though wasn't retained by his franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad after picking up 16 wickets in 16 matches in IPL 2020 and 2 wickets in 2 matches in IPL 2021. However, the left-arm pacer was bought back by SRH for 4 crores INR after an intense bidding war with Gujarat Titans. 

While talking about the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss & opted to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings in the 17th match of IPL 2022. Both the teams are looking for their first win of the season, where CSK has lost 3 in 3 matches while SRH have lost 2 in 2. This match is being played at Dr DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
