England has confirmed star opener Jason Roy has been ruled out of the remainder of the T20 World Cup tournament due to a calf injury. 

After the approval of the tournament's Event technical Committee, Jame Vince has replaced the injured star opener in the English squad. Vince, who was with the squad as a travelling reserve for the tournament, has played 12 T20Is and has one ODI century to his name.

After England's in-form Tymal Mills went down with a thigh injury last week, the English team has suffered another blow. The destructive opener, Jason Roy, who went out of the ground limping in their last Super 12 match against South Africa. 

Jason Roy has an impressive average of 25.30, striking at 144.93 in the T20 format. It is inevitable that the English side would miss this quality player's abilities & skills. 

Eoin Morgan, after the loss against South Africa, remarked about Jason Roy that 'He's unbelievably important. He's a guy who epitomises everything that we are about in the changing room and the way we play.'

Earlier, Reece Topley had replaced injured Tymal Mills. Despite these injuries, England finished on top of their group in Super 12. They will now take on New Zealand in the semi-final 1 on Wednesday.
