These two teams locked horns in match no. 37 at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, which was a low-scoring thriller. In the end, Bangladesh beat Nepal in the Kingstown cricket match by 21 runs. It started with Nepal winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. They had a good start and picked up four wickets within the powerplay.

Six Bangladeshi batters scored in double digits, but the highest score was 17 by Shakib Al Hasan. Bangladesh were bowled out for 106 runs in 19.3 overs that had 10 extras in them. Four of Nepal's bowlers took two wickets each. Nepal also lost the first five overs for 26 runs in 7 overs. There was a partnership of 52 runs for the six wickets between Kushal Malla (27 off 40) and Dipendra Sing Airee (25 off 31). But Nepal only managed 85 runs and got all out for 19.2 overs. Tanzim Hasan Sakib (4/7) and Mustafizur Rahman (3/7) did well with the ball.

Best Figure for BAN in T20 WCs: Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled brilliantly and took 4/7 in his four-over spell, which included two maidens as well. He registered the second-best bowling figure by a Bangladeshi bowler in the T20 World Cups. Mustafizur's 5/22 vs New Zealand in 2016 is the best.

Lowest Total defended in T20 WCs: Bangladesh have now broken South Africa's record and defended the lowest total in T20 World Cup history. Their 107 is the lowest by a team in the big event.

Lowest Total defended by a Full-member team in T20Is: Bangladesh also registered another record. This was the third-lowest total ever defended by a full-member squad in the T20 internationals.

Most Economical Spell in T20 WC for BAN: Mustafizur and Tanzim both bowled four overs each and conceded only seven runs. Both bowled the most economical spell ever by a Bangladeshi bowler in the T20 World Cups. This is also the first time when two bowlers conceded runs at an economy rate of 2 or below in a same innings.
