In the first innings, disciplined bowling helped Namibia restrict Ireland to 125/8 in the first innings of the 11th match of the T20 World Cup.

After opting to bat first, Ireland were off to a flier as the openers - Paul Stirling and Kevin O'Brien - smashed 55 runs inside the powerplay. The duo went to add 62 runs in 7.2 overs before Stirling got out scoring 38 off 24 balls. O'Brien followed his partner back to the pavilion in the next over after hitting 25 from 24 balls.
