IND vs BAN: India are set to start their preparations for the upcoming ODI World Cup at home in 2023, as they tour Bangladesh for a 3-match ODI series, followed by a 2-match Test series. While several regulars have returned in the batting department after taking a rest post-T20 World Cup 2022, India are still lacking in the bowling department with Jasprit Bumrah out.

India would look to build a proper bench strength in the bowling department, with new pacers Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen in the squad, along with Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur.

Here are the top 5 highest wicket-takers in IND vs BAN ODIs since 2010.

#5. Ravindra Jadeja (11 wickets)

Indian ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ranks 5th on this list with 11 scalps to his name in 11 ODIs against Bangladesh. In 88 overs total bowled against Bangladesh, Jadeja has conceded at an economy of 4.43, while averaging 35.45 with the ball. The left-arm slow bowler has a 4-wicket haul to his name against this opponent, where he picked up 4 wickets for 29 runs.

#4. Taskin Ahmed (12 wickets)

Right-arm fast Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed ranks 4th on this list with 12 wickets to his name in just 6 ODIs against India. Taskin averages a commendable 17.16 against India with a 5-wicket haul to his name as well. The bowler is also in the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming ODI series against India.

#3. Mashrafe Mortaza (16 wickets)

Former Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza ranks next on this list, with 16 wickets to his name in 14 matches against India. However, the bowler never picked up a 4-wicket or 5-wicket haul against India and mostly contributed with 1 or 2 wickets in every match against the neighbours.

#2. Shakib Al Hasan (17 wickets)

Another former Bangladesh captain, ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan ranks second on this. The left-arm spinner has picked up 17 wickets against India in 15 ODIs. However, even though his economy of under 5 is good, his strike rate of 45.2 suggests that he hasn't been able to pick up as many wickets since Indian batters look to play him off, targetting other bowlers for scoring runs. Shakib is also a part of the Bangladesh team which is to take on India for the upcoming 3-match ODI series.

#1. Mustafizur Rahman (20 wickets)
