IND vs SL: Chasing down totals is a team art every team aspires to be perfect in. Especially in a T20 match, a team is under immense pressure while chasing a target, moreso if the target is huge. However, many teams have through efficient strategies and tactics have managed to find a formula to approach, if not succeed in chasing a target.

Virat Kohli has changed the trend and perspective of an average Indian cricket fan about chasing. Mastering the art of pacing and holding the innings at different phases. However, the Indian team is currently going through a transition and the batting lineup is rather inexperienced.

#5. Sri Lanka (167/5, Gors Islet 2010)

In a group F match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2010, India set upa atrget of 163/5 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. However, Sri Lanka powered by 46 runs apiece from Sangakkara and Mathews in 33 and 37 deliveries respectively, were able to chase down the target on the very last ball and won the match by 5 wickets. 


#4. India (174/3, Colombo 2017)

The only T20I at Colombo in 2017 between these two teams experienced the master class of chasing by Virat Kohli, as team India chased down a target of 170/7 in 19.2 overs. Kohli scored 82 runs off 54 balls with 7 fours and a six as India won the match by 7 wickets. 


#3. India (174/7, Colombo 2009)

In another only T20I at Colombo in 2009, India managed to chase down a total of 171 in 19.2 overs courtesy of Pathan brothers' explosive partnership at the end which guided India to a thriller win by 3 wickets.


#2. Sri Lanka (175/5, Colombo 2018)

Sri Lanka's Kusal Perera scored a maginificent innings of 66 runs off 37 balls as Sri Lanka chased down a total of 174 in 18.3 overswith 5 wickets in hand. 


#1.  India (211/4, Mohali 2009)

Who can forget the epic second T20I at Mohali in 2009, where Yuvraj Sing once again proved why he is perhaps one of the best white-ball Indian batters. As India were chasing 207, Sehwag gave a great start with his 64 runs off 36 balls. Captain MS Dhoni came at #3 and held the innings with his 28-ball 46, however Yuvraj Singh came next and won the match for India with his 60 runs off 25 balls, including 3 fours and 5 sixes. India won the match by 6 wickets and 5 balls remaining.
