IND vs SL: After clean sweeping 2-time World Champions West Indies 3-0 in the recently concluded T20I series, India is set to host Sri Lanka for a 3-match T20I series starting February 26th. India are coming in from a 3-0 win, while Sri Lanka suffered a 4-1 loss against current world champions Australia in their most recent T20I series.

The legendary Sri Lankan keeper-batter Kumar Sangakkara scored 78 runs off just 37 balls with an astounding strike rate of 210.81 as Sri Lanka posted 215/5 in the 1st T20I at Nagpur in 2009. Sangakkara smacked 11 fours and 2 sixes in this inning which earned him the 'player of the match' award after Sri Lanka restricted India to 186/9 in 20 overs and won the match by 29 runs.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli displayed another chasing masterclass as he scored 82 runs off 54 balls while chasing a target of 171. Virat Kohli smacked 7 fours and a six in his inning as he maintained a strike rate of 151.85, which helped India win the match by 7 wickets with 4 balls remaining.

KL Rahul smacked 5 fours and 8 sixes in his innings as he helped India to such a huge total.

 In the 1st match of the T20 Tri-Series Nidahas Trophy, Shikhar Dhawan smacked 90 runs of 49 balls as India lost Rohit Sharma early after being put in to bat first. Dhawan smacked 6 fours and 6 sixes in his inning as India posted 174/5 in 20 overs. However, India chased down the total in 18.3 overs with 5 wickets in hand.

In the same T20I where KL Rahul smacked 89 runs, skipper Rohit Sharma played a gem of an innings as he smacked 118 runs off just 43 balls, with a strike rate of 274.81. Rohit smacked 12 fours and 10 sixes as he completely floored the Lankan bowling attack, posting a total of 260/5 in 20 overs.

The 3-match series between India and Sri Lanka is set to start from February 24th (Thursday). The first T20I will be played at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium, Lucknow while the remaining two T20Is will be played on 26th and 27th at Dharamsala.
