India posted 169/6 in 20 overs in the only T20I at Port of Spain in 2011, with Badrinath being the top score with his 43 runs off 37 balls. Windies batters couldn't take on the Indian bowlers efficiently and ended up losing the match by 16 runs after being limited to 143/5 in 20 overs. Harbhajan Singh picked up 2 wickets for India while Praveen Kumar, Ashwin and Munaf Patel picked up a wicket each.

In the 2nd T20I at Lauderhill in 2019, India posted 167/5 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Rohit Sharma remained the star with the bat as he scored 67 runs off 51 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes while opening the innings for India. After rain interrupted the match, the target was revised to 121 in 15.3 overs for Windies. However, Windies were restricted to 98/4 in 15.3 overs. Krunal Pandya picked up 2 wickets while Sundar and Bhuvneshwar picked up 1 each.

A batting masterclass, that's how one can define India's batting, particularly Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul & Virat Kohli in this match. Being put in to bat first, these three batters powered India to 240/3 in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma scored 71 runs off 34 balls, KL Rahul scored 91 runs in 56 balls while captain Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 70* off just 29 balls, with 4 fours and 7 sixes. West Indies were stopped at 173/8 in 20 overs as Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar, Shami and Kuldeep picked up 2 wickets each.

Rohit Sharma loves thrashing Windies bowlers, and he expressed this love yet again in the 2nd T20I at Lucknow in 2018. Rohit Sharma smashed 111* runs in 61 balls and powered India to 195/2 in 20 overs after being put in to bat first. In reply, the Indian bowling attack choked Windies batters as they managed to score 124/9 in their quota of 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav registered 2 wickets each to their name.
