Sri Lankan batting has been a cause of concern for the past few months. It had a forgettable England tour as none of the batters could score big. Dasun Shanaka has been made the captain and the responsibility of scoring runs will be more on him. 

Wanindu Hasaranga could be the star of the series if he continues his fine form with both bat as well as the ball. He was the highest run-scorer for Sri Lanka - 100 runs, in England. 

India's batting looks strong as ever. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw will be the probable openers for the first game, followed by Suryakumar Yadav and Manish Pandey. Sanju Samson is likely to take the gloves ahead of Ishan Kishan. 

Hardik Pandya is expected to bowl, making him the third pacer after Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar. This could be the return of 'Kulcha' - Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.
