South Africa captain Faf du Plessis fined for misconduct ()
New Delhi,29 March। South Africa captain Faf du Plessis was fined 50 per cent of his match fee for misconduct during his side’s final group phase match in the World Twenty20 against Sri Lanka, an International Cricket Council (ICC) statement said on Tuesday.
South Africa won the match by eight wickets here on Monday. Both teams failed to qualify for the last-four stage.
Du Plessis was found to have breached Article 2.1.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during an international match".
