WATCH: Smriti Mandhana Smacks An Effortless 80-Metre 'Monster Six'

West Indies vs India Women: Smriti Mandhana smacks 80-metre monster six against Shakera Selman in the Women's World Cup.

West Indies vs India Women: Smriti Mandhana remained the 'star' for team India in the group stage match against West Indies in the Women's World Cup 2022. India managed to win the match by 155 runs courtesy of centuries from Smriti Mandhana & Harmanpreet Kaur.

While opening the innings, Smriti played a knock of 123 runs off 119 balls as she smacked 13 fours and 2 sixes. The first six of the Indian innings was smacked by Smriti which went as far as 80 metres. A video of the same has been posted by the official ICC account. 

This happened on the second ball of the 33rd over when she smacked Shakera Selman for an 80-metre 'monster six' without moving much in her crease. Smriti displayed a smile after smacking this huge six.

While talking about the match, chasing a target of 318 runs, West Indies' batters Deandra Dottin and Hayley Matthews remained the top scorers for the team with 62 and 43 runs respectively. Indian bowler Sneh Rana picked up 3 wickets while Meghna Singh picked up 2 wickets as West Indies were bowled out for 162.
