Sam Heazlett's unbeaten 74 powered Brisbane Heat to a win seven-wicket win over Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League(BBL) knockout on Sunday.
Heat needed 159 runs to qualify for the Challenger match against Perth Scorchers on Thursday. Heazlett smashed 74 runs from 49 balls to help his team reach the target comfortably with five balls to spare. His knock included six fours and three sixes. Jimmy Peirson gave perfect support with his 24-ball-43 with the help of two fours and three sixes.

Brisbane was in a spot of bother at the start of the run chase when they got 2/14 inside the first three overs. Marnus Labuschagne and Sam Heazlett built the platform with a 56 run partnership for the third wicket. Labuschagne's 32-run knock ended abruptly as he got run out.
