GT vs SRH IPL 2022: It has been a trend for some of the big players this season, to perform exceptionally well against their former franchise in IPL 2022. Rashid Khan, who wasn't retained by SRH despite his stellar performances, made them pay in the 40th match of IPL 2022, but with the bat and not with the ball!
Rashid Khan came out to bat in the 17th over when Gujarat Titans were at 140/5, requiring another 56 runs to win in 18 deliveries. Rahul Tewatia was on the other end and partnered beautifully with the Afghan player to finish the game. Rashid opened his boundary count with a six against Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 18th over.
Tewatia smacked a six and a four in the next over, and also smacked Jansen for a six on the first bowl of the last over. When Rashid came back on strike, GT required another 15 runs in 4 balls. This meant, the Afghan had to smack at least three boundaries or give the strike back to Tewatia.
