Ranji Trophy: Karnataka captain Manish Pandey smacks a fast century against Railways in the first match of Ranji Trophy.

Ranji Trophy: Manish Pandey was acquired by Lucknow SuperGiants in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. After being bought for Rs. 4.60 crores, Karnataka captain Manish Pandey started off Ranji Trophy in a tremendous fashion. Pandey's batting destroyed the opposition bowling in their very first match of the Ranji Trophy 2022. 

Manish Pandey opened his hands freely and smacked Railways' bowlers around the park. At Chennai's India Cement Limited Guru Nanak College Ground, the Karnataka captain smacked the bowlers in all directions, registering 11 fours and 10 sixes in his thunderous knock. 

Manish has been often trolled for his slow and anchor innings in the IPL but his batting performance today has taken everyone by surprise. Karnataka had a fairly bad start as they lost opener Manish Pandey (16) and Devdutt Padikkal (21) early in the innings. However, after that Manish Pandey brought about a storm that completely dismantled Railways' bowling attack.

In this fast-paced inning, Manish Pandey completed his fifty in mere 46 balls. Before getting dismissed, Pandey scored 156 runs off 121 balls, with an inspiring strike rate of 121. Lucknow SueprGiants would be overjoyed after this innings by Pandey and would be eagerly waiting for the IPL 2022 season to start.
