PBKS vs LSG IPL 2022: A moment of sportsman spirit is appreciated by all cricket fans and players alike. Despite playing for a win, the batters or bowlers show sportsman spirit despite it being a loss for them in the terms of the game. LSG opener Quinton de Kock showed a similar spirit despite the umpire adjudging him 'not out'.

Opening the innings for Lucknow Super Giants, Quinton de Kock witnessed his partner and captain, KL Rahul's dismissal in the 3rd over at a score of 12. The South African then held the innings for LSG as he etched a partnership of 85 runs in 59 balls for the 2nd wicket with Deepak Hooda.

Punjab Kings pacer Sandeep Sharma was bowling the 13th over of the LSG innings. Quinton de Kock was batting on 46*, just 4 runs away from his second fifty this season, and received a slower delivery on outside off. De Kock tried to cut it away but missed as the keeper caught the ball and then went up in an appeal along with the bowler. 

There was a clear deflection as the ball passed De Kock's bat, but the umpire was unmoved. Despite this, Quinton de Kock displayed 'Sportsman Spirit' as he walked off, knowing he had edged the ball. Even the bowler, Sandeep Sharma, patted the batter on his head for his innings and spirit.

Talking about the match, Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss & opted to field first against Lucknow Super Giants in the 42nd match of IPL 2022.
