In the 3rd match of the IPL 2022, Punjab Kings(RCB) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium. RCB defeated PBKS the last time these two teams met.

Punjab Kings will be missing the services of Jonny Bairstow for the first few games, which will be a blow for their plans. Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan will open the inning. Prabhsimran Singh is likely to bat at number three followed by either Raj Bawa or Rishi Dhawan. Liam Livingstone will be the key player for PBKS along with Shahrukh Khan.

Odean Smith or Benny Howell will take up the overseas pace bowling allrounder slot. Arshdeep Singh will be the player to watch out for.  

RCB will have a new look opening in the form of Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat followed by Virat Kohli. Sherfane Rutherford will find a place in the middle order. Either Mahipal Lomror or Suyash Prabhudessai will be in the middle as well. 

Wanindu Hasaranga will handle the spin duties along with Shahbaz Ahmed. Mohammad Siraj will be leading the pace bowling attack. David Willey is expected to play as the third pacer and a floating option in the batting department.
