GT vs RCB IPL 2022: A promising left-arm pacer who was preferred over Virat Kohli by Delhi Daredevils in 2008, had a career that only went downhill. After playing his last IPL match in 2018, Sangwan returned to the T20 extravaganza and picked his first wicket in his very first over, dismissing Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis for a duck.

Former RCB captain Virat Kohli & current captain Faf du Plessis opened the innings after opting to bat first. While Kohli waved off the first over against Shami with 2 boundaries, Pradeep Sangwan came on to bowl the second over of the innings. 

On the 5th delivery of the over, Faf du Plessis was on strike after facing 3 balls without scoring a run. Sangwan had set up Faf as he bowled the earlier deliveries on the stumps. However, the 5th delivery was angled across. The RCB captain went for a drive and only managed an outside edge. Saha made no mistake behind the stumps as he cleanly completed the catch. 

Faf du Plessis was dismissed without adding a run to his account despite facing 4 balls. Talking about the South African's form, the batter has failed to produce substantial knocks apart from two fifties. Faf du Plessis was acquired for 7 crores INR by RCB in the IPL 2022 mega auction and was appointed as captain as Virat Kohli announced in the previous season that he won't be leading the Bangalore franchise anymore. 

While talking about the match, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss & opted to bat first against Gujarat Titans in the 43rd match of IPL 2022. Gujarat Titans are placed at the top of the points table with 7 wins in 8 matches while RCB has been in a slump as of late and are at the 5th spot with 5 wins in 9 matches. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
