WI vs IND: In the 5th T20I against West Indies, India posted a total of 188/7 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Hooda batted beautifully for team India and played an important role in taking the team's total across the 180-run mark.

However, fans were eager to see Sanju Samson perform with the bat. However, Sanju flopped in this match and Odean Smith clean bowled him. Sanju was sent in to bat at #4 but he was dismissed after scoring just 11 runs in 15 balls.

Sanju Samson tried to play it towards the third man and got cramped for room, missing it altogether. The off-stump flew into the air as it went for a walk. It was the end of a bizarre inning by Sanju Samson, who looked very fidgety early on and just when he seemed to be getting into the groove fell to a freak dismissal.

Even though Odean Smith didn't celebrate the wicket very much, disappointment was clearly visible on Sanju Samson's face of missing an opportunity to cement his place in the team. Now it's up to the selectors to decide whether the wicket-keeper batter gets selected for the upcoming Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. However, if Sanju fails to make his place in the Asia Cup squad, it will be very difficult for him to go to Australia for T20 World Cup.
