Kusal Mendis (25) and Hasaranga (21*) were the other batters who were able to cross the 20-run mark. Asalanka also smacked a four and a six in the Super over to take his side to a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. 

In the bowling department, Wanindu Hasaranga and Pramod Madushan picked up 2 wickets each in 4 overs while conceding 30 and 37 runs respectively. Captain Dasun Shanaka bowled 2 overs for 20 runs and also registered 2 wickets to his name. Maheesh Theekshana and Dilshan Madushanka registered 1 wicket each.
