Emirates ICC International Panel: Bangladesh cricketers Nahida Akter and Sarmin Sultana have been fined 10 per cent of their match fees for separate Level 1 breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct during the second ODI of the ICC Women’s Championship series against Sri Lanka.
The sanctions were imposed following incidents during the match in Rajshahi, where both players were found to have committed offences under different articles of the Code.
Nahida breached Article 2.5, which pertains to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.” Sarmin, meanwhile, was found guilty under Article 2.8, which relates to “showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during an International Match.”
