Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has created an unusual IPL record during the match against Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi.
During Mumbai's batting in the first innings, Nabi claimed five catches and became the first fielder to do so in the history of the tournament. The all-rounder helped in removing Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, James Neesham, Krunal Pandya, and Nathan Coulter-Nile.
In 14 years, only one wicket-keeper has done this - Kumar Sangakkara in 2011 against Royal Challengers Bangalore while playing for Deccan Chargers. However, no outfielder had done this before today.
Mohammad Nabi is now the first ever fielder to claim 5 catches in an IPL innings.
