LSG vs SRH: Match Preview:

After a winning start to the season in IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants faltered against Chennai Super Kings, losing the match by 12 runs. Chasing a massive 218 runs to win, Kyle Mayers yet again gave an explosive start as he smacked 53 runs off just 22 balls with 8 fours & 2 sixes. KL Rahul (20) failed to do much. Nicholas Pooran was the 2nd highest scorer with 32 runs in 18 balls, while Ayush Badoni and Marcus Stoinis scored 23 and 21 runs off 18 deliveries each respectively. In the end, LSG reached 205 runs and fell short of the target. Quinton de Kock can also come into the playing XI but whom will he replace is going to be a big headache for LSG management. 

Ravi Bishnoi and Mark Wood picked up 3 wickets each in the game against CSK. Mark Wood is currently leading the Purple Cap chart with 8 wickets in 2 games as he has been in good form in IPL 2023. Avesh Khan also managed a wicket against CSK.

Sunrisers Hyderabad on the other hand were handed a comprehensive defeat in the first game of the season. Chasing 24 runs to win, SRH lost opener Abhishek Sharma and #3 Rahul Tripathi for a duck. While Mayank Agarwal scored 27 runs, Abdul Samad remained the top scorer with 32* runs off 32 balls. None of the other batters were able to cross the 20-run mark as SRH were halted to 131/8 in 20 overs. Aiden Markram will be joining the side and will be the captain which will be a relief for the SRH team. 

Fazalhar Farooqi and T Natarajan grabbed 2 wickets each against CSK in the last game. However, Fazalhaq went for 41 runs in his 4 overs while Natarajan conceded just 23 runs in his 3 overs. Adil Rashid went wicketless along with Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Washington Sundar and would be looking to bounce back.
