CSK vs PBKS IPL 2022: Liam Livingstone has been a name that garnered a lot of attention in the IPL auctions and yet failed to perform in the IPL. However, in the 2022 edition, after being sold for 11.50 crores INR to Punjab Kings, the English all-rounder has finally brought his skills to the ground. 

In the 11th match of IPL 2022 between the Kings - Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, a huge responsibility fell on Livingstone's shoulder after Punjab lost 2 wickets in 1.2 overs after being told to bat first. The onus was on Livingstone to score runs for Punjab Kings and lead to a good total, keeping the dew factor in the second innings in mind.

The 28-year old however found his rhythm in the IPL today after impressing the cricketing world with his bat in the past last year. Livingstone smashed 60 runs off 32 balls with 5 fours & 5 sixes as he came up strong & hard against the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings. 

Amidst the rain of boundaries, a particular six garnered some special attention and applause, as it was the longest six of the ongoing IPL 2022 till now. In the 4th over of CSK's innings, being bowled by young Mukesh Choudhary, Livingstone took on the first delivery which was in the slot. Liam cleared his front leg off the way as the ball travelled 108 metres in the stands over mid-wicket. Not only this, Liam went on to smack another six and three boundaries in the over, accumulating a total of 26 runs in the over.

While talking about the match, Chennai Super Kings captain Ravindra Jadeja won the toss & opted to field first against Punjab Kings in the 11th match of IPL 2022. At the time of writing this piece, PBKS are at 115/4 in 11 overs, with the young duo of Shahrukh Khan (0*) and Jitesh Sharma (1*) at the crease.
