In the doubleheader Saturday, Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings in the afternoon and Lucknow Super Giants dominated Kolkata Knight Riders at night.
Rajasthan chased down the 190-run target set by the Kings with two balls to spare courtesy of the 68 from the youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal. Punjab's batting was led by Jonny Bairstow's fifty and Jitesh Sharma-Liam Livingstone's perfect finish.
Lucknow scored 176 runs in the first inning with the help of Quinton de Kock-Deepak Hooda's start and Marcus Stoinis' finish. Kolkata's batters had a nightmare game as they got bowled out for 101 runs. Avesh Khan and Jason Holder picked three wickets each to wreck havoc on KKR's batting. For Kolkata, only Andre Russell (2/22, 45 off with bat) could challenge LSG a bit.
