IPL 2022: Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav managed to impress everyone with his impressive bowling in the match between Delhi Capitals & Mumbai Indians. Kuldeep showed guts against a strong Mumbai batting lineup and registered an impressive bowling figure of 3/18 in his 4 overs, the best bowler for Delhi in the match. Kuldeep Yadav managed to dismiss big 'fishes' like Rohit Sharma & Kieron Pollard along with youngster Anmolpreet Singh with his spin web.

For the first time since 2018, Kuldeep Yadav managed to pick 2 wickets in an innings. Kuldeep has been going through a rough patch in his career for quite some time now. The spinner's presence in the Indian team's playing XI has been temporary and even failed to find a place in the playing XI in IPL as well. Kuldeep was bought by Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022 mega auction and was a part of the KKR squad in IPL 2021.

Due to the presence of spinners Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy in the squad, Kuldeep consistently failed to find a place in the KKR playing XI and it seemed like even the bowler's T20 career was coming to an end. However, Kuldeep cleared everyone's doubts as he displayed his excellent bowling skills in Delhi's first match in IPL 2022.

Delhi Capitals' team management showed faith in the wrist spinner and played him in their first IPL 2022 match and Kuldeep repaid the faith brilliantly. Earlier, Delhi Capitals' captain Rishabh Pant won the toss & opted to bowl first against Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians' opener Ishan Kishan smacked an unbeaten knock of 81 runs and helped MI to a total of 177/5 in 20 overs. Khaleel Ahmed was the second most successful bowler for DC after Kuldeep, picking up 2 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs.
