Quotes

Andre Russell (Man of the Match): I wanted to stay positive. I was backing myself all the time. Ryan played very well, he gave good support. We kept rotating the strike. We work hard in training, and it becomes natural. It was all about confidence. Very good wicket to bat. Confidence is all that matters, this win gives me lot of confidence, I want to keep winning games for Kolkata.

Gautam Gambhir: After the first 15 overs we could have restricted them to even a lesser total. We were confident, somebody like Andre Russell, Ryan and Yusuf can chase such totals any day. The way Andre and Ryan batted, it was unbelievable. They batted with lot of maturity. Sunil Narine deserves a special mention, he is always performing for us. We are off the mark here, and we hope we win this tournament.

MS Dhoni: We just had a good start. We did not have enough runs on the board. We did not finish will with the ball. Their spinners bowled well. It was a worry if we could defend it. The fast bowlers bowled very well. The difference between the two sides was the way they batted towards the end. We were about 15-20 runs short atleast.
