New Delhi, July 12 (CRICKETNMORE) India men's cricket team skipper Virat Kohli led others in congratulating his women's counterpart Mithali Raj moments after she broke the world record by becoming the highest run-getter in One-day International (ODI) cricket, surpassing former England captain Charlotte Edwards's record of 5992 runs.
Mithali, during her knock of 69 during India's ongoing World Cup group match against Australia at Bristol, got past Edwards's mark and also became the first woman to breach the 6000-run mark.
"A great moment for Indian Cricket, @M_Raj03 becomes the highest run scorer in women's ODI cricket history today. Champion Stuff!" Kohli tweeted.
