There was a time once when Kedar Jadhav had cemented his name in the team India's middle order, but the tides of time turned, and Kedar Jadhav had to face similar disappointments with turning time. Kedar Jadhav was dropped from the Indian team surprisingly and his IPL career also almost came to a standstill. The all-rounder failed to find a buyer in the recently held IPL 2023 mini auction as well. 

However, Kedar Jadhav has once again attained the limelight after going unsold in the IPL 2023 mini-auction and the reason is quite crucial for the player. In the Elite Group B match of Ranji Trophy 2022-23 and smacked a double ton against Assam while playing for Maharashtra. In this match, Assam scored 274 runs in the first innings and in reply, Maharashtra attained a heavy lead courtesy of Kedar Jadhav's double ton.

Till the end of 2nd session on 3rd Day, Maharashtra scored 452 runs for 5 wickets, with Kedar Jadhav being unbeaten on 205 runs. Jadhav faced just 218 balls to score his 205 runs and laced his knock with 17 fours & 8 sixes. With this thunderous knock, Jadhav has been the point of talking on social media and the fans are sympathising with the all-rounder as well. The reason for this can be pinned on Kedar Jadhav being snubbed and had he played a similar knock prior to the mini-auction, he could've found a buyer. However, it is now too late for Jadhav to play in the lucrative T20 league.

It is noteworthy that Kedar Jadhav's name wasn't included in the list of 405 players who underwent the hammer in the auction. The all-rounder had a below-par season in IPL 2021 with Sunrisers Hyderabad and hence none of the other franchises decided to bet on the 37-year-old player. Jadhav had kept his base price at 1 crore INR, he was also a part of the Indian squad in the 2019 World Cup.
