Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik was the top run-getter for Karachi Kings in PSL 2022 with 401 runs, averaging 44 while striking at 137. He will be joined by the likes of Sharjeel Khan as well as James Vince, who is coming in with a fantastic campaign in the recently concluded ILT20. Australian wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade will also strengthen the batting along with Haider Ali & Tayyab Tahir. 

Australian pacer Andrew Tye will lead the Kings' fast bowling attack along with Mohammad Amir and James Fuller. The spin department will be headed by experienced pacer Imran Tahir along with his South African team mater Tabraiz Shamsi. 

Babar Azam will be leading his new team, Peshawar Zalmi against his former team Karachi Kings, and all eyes will be on the ace Pakistani batter. Babar has scored 1,366 runs in 31 PSL matches with an average of 44 runs scored per innings. He will be joined by Windies' explosive batter Rovmann Powell along with Sherfance Rutherford to add to the Caribbean strength in the team. Tom Kohler-Cadmore & Bhanuka Rajapaksa are expected to further strengthen the Zalmi batting.

Ace pacer Wahab Riaz will be leading the Peshawar bowling attack, comprising all-rounder pacers and spinners Usman Qadir, Sufiyaan Muqeem and Haris Sohail. New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham can also contribute the wickets in the death overs.
