Karachi Kings are off to a horrid start in the PSL 8 as they have lost all their games till now, waiting for their first win. Shoaib Malik has been the only batter to step up consistently and has scored 141 runs in 3 matches, averaging 70.50 while striking at 151.61. Captain Imad Wasim smacked 80 runs in the 1st match and has remained silent since, while Haider Ali also has played one good knock in the tournament. The likes of Matthew Wade, Sharjeel Khan and James Vince would need to step up soon for the team to stay in contention. 

The bowling has also failed to leave a mark. Imad Wasim picked up 3 wickets in the last match and is the top wicket-taker for Karachi in PSL 8 with 4 wickets to his name, while Aamer Yamin and Mohammad Amir have managed 3 wickets each. Defending 175 runs to win, the Shaheen Afridi-led bowling attack just managed to keep the opposition below the target by the barest of margins. Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rayf, Zaman Khan and Hussain Talat managed 1 wicket each while Sikandar Raza and David Wiese remained wicket-less.
