New Delhi, November 26 - Following India Test captain Virat Kohli's support, compatriots and cricketing stalwarts V.V.S. Laxman and Kapil Dev have also expressed delight on the eve of the commencement of first day-night Test match to be played at the Adelaide Oval between Trans-Tasmanian rivals Australia and New Zealand on Friday.
Laxman, who played 134 Tests for India scoring 8,781 runs, believes day-night Test matches are a boon for the fans who generally miss the entire day's play due to school, college or work.
"This is an exciting time for the cricketing fans as they can directly head to the stadiums or tune in on their TV sets to catch the action live," the 41-year-old, who is part of the commentary panel for the Test, said on Thursday.
