PBKS vs LSG IPL 2022: Apart from the two major components - batting & bowling, the third component of cricket which is as crucial as it is underrated - fielding. With good fielding, the team can save singles which may be crucial in the later stages of the game, as well as provide wickets at times. Jonny Bairstow, primarily a wicket-keeper, displayed a fantastic direct hit from the deep to dismiss well set Deepak Hooda. 

After Hooda's partnership of 85 runs with Quinton de Kock was broken in the 13th over, Arshdeep Singh came on to bowl the next (14th) over. On the third delivery, Krunal Pandya was on strike. Pandya played a pull shot to deep square leg and seemed to be easy two runs.

However, Deepak Hooda was jogging for the second run, not expecting the throw to come at his end. Bairstow executed a direct hit at the bowler's end from the deep, and Deepak Hooda was caught short of his crease. Deepak Hooda was dismissed after scoring 34 runs in 28 balls with a four and 2 sixes. 

Earlier, Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss & opted to field first against Lucknow Super Giants. After an 85 run partnership for the second wicket between Quinton De Kock (46) and Deepak Hooda (34), LSG faced a slump in between 13-16 overs as they lost five wickets. Kagiso Rabada picked up 4 wickets, Rahul Chahar picked up 2 wickets and Sandeep Sharma picked up 1 wicket as Lucknow Super Giants posted 153/8 in 20 overs.
