Mumbai, 18 January - Gujarat pacer Jasprit Bumrah earned his maiden India call-up as he was on Monday named as a replacement for injured Mohammed Shami in the national squad for the three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) to be played against Australia.
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Jasprit Bumrah in the India T20I team as the replacement for Mohammed Shami, who has been ruled out due to injury. The Indian team is scheduled to play three Twenty20 matches starting January 26, 2016, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement.
Shami, who returned to the national side after a gap of eight months following a knee injury, was named in the India squad for the tour which includes five One-Day Internationals (ODI) from January 12 in Perth, followed by three Twenty20 Internationals.
