ENG vs NZ 2nd Test: Probably the oldest and yet the finest of England pacers, James Anderson has achieved yet another major milestone. In the ongoing second test match between England and New Zealand, James Anderson picked up his 650th test wicket as he cleaned up Kiwi skipper Tom Latham in the first over of the second innings.
After halting England to 539 in the first innings and obtaining a lead of 14 runs, New Zealand came out to bat in the second innings in the first session of Day 4. Stand-in captain Tom Latham and Will Young opened the innings as Anderson came on to bowl the first over of the innings.
After bowling the first three balls without conceding a run, and was smacked for a four on the fourth delivery. On the 5th delivery, Anderson angled in the delivery on a good length from round the wicket. The NZ skipper didn't cover his stumps as the ball went on to bang the middle of the two stumps. Latham was dismissed after scoring just 4 runs due to a total error in judgement.
