After Ireland took a 2-0 lead over Afghanistan by defeating them by five wickets in a best-of-five T20 series, the home team will look to take an unassailable lead over the visitors when the two sides will face each other in the third T20I on Friday.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi opted to bat first, but the visitors left themselves with too much work to do with the ball after scoring just 122-8 from their 20 overs.
