Chasing a target of 172, MI started well scoring 49 in the powerplay, Quinton de Kock being the aggressor while Rohit Sharma struggling at the other end. Sharma's struggle to 14 runs in 17 balls ended on the last ball of the powerplay.

De Kock continued to play his shots and anchor the innings, something which he wasn't able to do in the last few games. Suryakumar Yadav once again failed to convert his start as he got out scoring 16 off 10 after adding 34 with de Kock for the second wicket.

Krunal Pandya was sent in at number 4 and didn't disappoint as he took the game further away from Rajasthan with his 39-run-knock from 26 balls. He added 63 with de Kock for the third wicket. After Pandya, Pollard came in to finish the game off in the 19th over of the match. Quinton de Kock made 70 from 50 balls to not only regain his form but also give his team a much-needed win.

Earlier, Rajasthan was asked to bat first by Mumbai. RR got off to a quick start as both the openers - Jos Buttler and Yashaswi Jaiswal - played their strokes freely in a small Feroz Shah Kotla ground. The two added 66 runs for the first wicket in 47 balls.

Mumbai came back in the middle over phase where they controlled run rate to push RR to backfoot despite Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube at the create. The two added 57 from 49 balls for the third wicket. While Samson scored 42, Dube hit 35 to help Rajasthan close its innings at 171/4 in 20 overs.
