IPL 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Punjab Kings, 14th Match

Chasing a total of 121, SRH openers - Jonny Bairstow and David Warner - added 73 runs for the first wicket. The two made perfect use of the powerplay restrictions to score 50 runs.

Warner hit a run-a-ball 37 with the help of three fours and a six before losing his wicket to Fabian Allen. His wicket meant, Kane Williamson was finally out to bat for SRH after a long wait.

Williamson and Bairstow made sure Hyderabad doesn't lose any wicket and chased down the total with eight balls to spare. The English batsman remained unbeaten on 63 from 56 balls, which he scored with the help of three fours and three sixes.

Earlier, Punjab Kings opted to bat first. They started poorly as they scored 32 runs in the first six overs and lost the wicket of KL Rahul.

The open field didn't mean that Punjab's batsmen could play freely. They continued to lose wickets at regular intervals as no batsman was able to cross even 25 runs.

Khaleel Ahmed took three wickets and Abhishek Sharma got two to bowl Punjab Kings out for a mere 120 in 19.4 overs.
After this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad has jumped to 5th place while Punjab Kings has gone down to the bottom.
