IPL 2020: Cummins, Morgan Take KKR To 148/5 (Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan)

Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan took Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) to a respectable total of 148/5 against Mumbai Indians(MI) in the first innings. 

Earlier, KKR's newly appointed captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and opted to bat first. The team got off to a very ordinary start, scoring 33 runs in the powerplay and lost two wickets. 

Half of the Knight Riders' batting line up went back into the Pavillion at a score of 61 in eleven overs. Captain Eoin Morgan and Pat Cummins, then, had an unbeaten 87 run partnership to make sure KKR had a respectable total to defend. 

Pat Cummins scored 53 runs off 36 balls which included five fours and two sixes while Morgan scored 39 runs in 29 deliveries. 

For MI, Rahul Chahar bowled a terrific spell in which he conceded only 18 runs in his quota of four overs while taking two wickets.
