Hyderabad, April 30 (CRICKETNMORE): David Warner signed off his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 journey in a grand fashion by scoring a brilliant 81 to help Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Kings XI Punjab by 45 runs, here on Monday.
Warner, who alongside Steve Smith, was handed a 12-month ban by Cricket Australia for their role in ball-tampering in South Africa last year, made a remarkable comeback to competitive cricket, scoring 692 runs in this IPL season, before heading home for World Cup preparations.
Warner's knock at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium helped Hyderabad take a step closer towards qualifying for the playoffs as they now have 12 points from 12 games.
