After an amazing batting show by Axar Patel, India lead the 3-match ODI series by 2-0 against the home side West Indies. Dhawan-led side will now look to continue their form in the third and the final match on July 27, Wednesday in order to white-wash the ODI series.

Indian all-rounder Axar Patel showed amazing intent in the batting after the team was struggling. Axar played an unbeaten match-winning knock of 64 runs of 34 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 3 fours.

Apart from him, batter Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson scored important half-centuries and scored 99-runs partnership which was crucial at a point when India were in trouble after losing three early wickets.

Earlier in the first inning, Indian bowling got hammered by Shai Hope, who scored a hundred (115 runs of 135 balls) and Nicholas Pooran (74 runs of 77 balls) knocked a hard-driven fifty which helped West Indies total 311 runs in the first inning.

For India, Shardul Thakur scalped three wickets, rest three wickets taken by Indian bowlers were struck by spinners- Hooda, Chahal and Axar.

Whereas, West Indies' bowling has consistently been their weakest link, as seen in the second ODI as well. The bowlers were unable to take wickets at important moments which cost them the match and the series.
